The College is excited to share with you that for the first time, ACG will be holding its Annual Scientific Meeting and Postgraduate Course in conjunction with the World Congress of Gastroenterology, October 13-18, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. This is the first time in 20 years that the World Congress of Gastroenterology will be held in the U.S.
For World Congress of Gastroenterology (WCOG) at ACG2017, we are expecting a larger international presence, with expected attendance growth of approximately 30%. The program, which is and always will be clinically focused, will feature special events and education addressing global health issues, in addition to meeting the needs of our core constituency, the U.S. gastroenterologist.
Excitement is building amongst Latin American gastroenterologists about the WCOG at ACG2017 coming to the Americas. At the recent Pan American Meeting, leaders from our sister societies in Latin America shared the news about the WCOG at ACG2017 with attendees at the meeting and their members. Many will find it easy to get to WCOG at ACG2017 with more than 800 daily flights and dozens of nonstop international flights to Orlando. In addition, its family-friendly location makes it ideal to combine business with pleasure for our attendees.
